Child Wellbeing Screening

This screening helps you record what you have observed about a child and think through what might help next.

Who is this for?

Teachers, school staff, and parents or caregivers. You do not need any specialist training to complete it.

How long does it take?

About 10 minutes. You choose which areas to cover, so it may be shorter.

What happens to your answers?

Your answers are stored securely and are used to produce a report for you. You do not need to give the child's name — a reference number of your own choosing is enough. Please do not enter identifying details into the free-text questions unless you have thought about who else may need to see them.

If you are worried about safety right now

If you or the child are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services now.

Verified local crisis line details for your region have not been configured. Please contact your local emergency services or your nearest hospital.

Important

This is not a diagnostic tool. It records observations only. It cannot tell you whether a child has any particular condition, and it does not produce a score or a risk level. If you have concerns about a child's safety, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.
